A soothing light texture, with a magnificently full on Lagavulin taste that’s somehow even bigger than you expect; sweet, smoky and warming, with a growing, smoky pungency, then dry, with more smoke. Charred, with minty, dark chocolate. Beautifully balanced midpalate then salty, oven-charred baked potato skins and smoke. Water rounds things, the taste still mighty yet more succulent, sweeter, spicier and now tongue-tingling, mint-fresh and warming.
A clean, long and smoky finish – subtle, minted smoke, chocolate tannins and finally warming, leaving the palate dry as sweet smoke lingers on the breath.

Lagavulin 8 (Not anniversary edition)
Thought I was purchasing the 200th anniversary edition but recieved the regular edition instead. Apparantly there was a mistake on the website. Good whiskey but wish I would have received the correct bottles. Called and the website was then fixed, just wish I would have been compensated better. I was offered the opportunity to return the bottles “for credit” or to keep them and get $10 off the shipping. So basically, they only charged me $10 for shipping instead of $20 for the WRONG bottles... definitely have had better experiences. Giving 2 stars for the shopping experience but would have given 4 stars just for the whisky alone.

I purchased 4 bottles of this outstanding scotch and am delighted with my decision. First, the price was right and second, shipping was free! The packaging was perfect and FedEx delivered to my door very promptly. I couldn't be happier except perhaps after I enjoy a glass on the rocks!
Unusual single malt scotch
i very much enjoy lagavulin 16 This year old scotch has similarities but is clearly different I enjoyed the taste but prefer the 16 year old version I look forward to trying the 12 year old soon
