Revel Stoke is distilled in Canada from a proprietary blend of fine corn, rye and barley malt. Three distillations through copper stills yield a high proof, clear spirit of rather unique character.The whisky shows a light golden tint in my glen cairn with a hue which has just started that journey towards a richer amber colour.
The flavour of the whisky leads out with a lightly sweet impression of toffee alongside both bitter and spicy rye grain. The mouthf eel is soft, however the whisky has plenty of wood spice to both heat and pucker the palate between sips.The whisky has a short crisp exit featuring dry whisky flavours of rye grain, wood spice and citrus zest.
